We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Dale Leisure Supplies Limited.
The successful candidate will work closely with our purchasing team to place daily purchase orders, liaise with suppliers, and review outstanding purchase orders. They will also be responsible for highlighting and addressing potential stock level and supply chain issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the purchasing team to place daily purchase orders and manage supplier relationships.
- Review and action outstanding purchase orders, updating the system and liaising with the sales admin team.
- Identify and address potential stock level and supply chain issues.
- Liaise with transport companies to book deliveries and update the system.
- Work closely with internal departments to manage administrative aspects of purchasing.
- Participate in supplier meetings and assist in sourcing products.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of the supply chain and procurement process.
- Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Proactive and positive approach with strong analytical skills for facts and figures.
Desirable Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost-efficient solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and strong IT skills with Microsoft Office experience.
- Good level of education in Mathematics and English.
Package:
- Full-time, permanent position with 39 hours per week.
