About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Psychology Graduate or Student to work as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are interested in Special Education Needs (SEN) and wish to gain hands-on experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to students with SEMH, ADHD, and ASC, helping them to engage in learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to understand the educational, social, and emotional needs of each student.
  • Help create an inclusive and safe learning environment where all students feel valued and are able to thrive.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities related to SEN and the role of a Teaching Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Must be a recent graduate or current student in Psychology or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for education and making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
  • An understanding of or interest in SEN, specifically SEMH, ADHD, and ASC.
  • Must be able to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
