About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our People Development team as a Career and Skills Development Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our staff and help shape the future of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Refine a strategic direction for Career and Skills development, aligning with university priorities and collaborating with key partners in HR and beyond.
  • Oversee and integrate initiatives within the Career and Skills development portfolio, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse staff population.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the University, leading and overseeing a range of initiatives and interventions relating to Career and Skills development.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Partners leading on other strategic themes, as well as aligning with funded projects being led or supported by the People Development team.
  • Provide leadership and support to the People Development partnering team, with potential line management responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of leading projects that have significantly impacted organisational culture and the working environment.
  • Confidence in partnering with a wide range of people, across academic and professional services communities.
  • Ability to engage, influence and collaborate with others, evidenced through successfully leading a variety of transformational people and organisational development projects.
  • Gained experience ideally in HR, Learning & Development, Organisation Development, Change Management or another relevant professional specialism.
