Supply Chain Risk Management Expert

At Moody's, we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Supplier Risk Management efforts in Europe and Africa. As an Industry Practice Lead, you will play a critical role in establishing credibility and confidence in our products and solutions with prospective clients.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working within corporates, consulting, or advisory connected to Supply Chain Risk Management. A strong background in industry affiliation and leadership roles, as well as experience with complex sales cycles and relationship management, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities will include driving sales and customer engagement, internal education, industry engagement and thought leadership, and market feedback for product development. The ideal candidate will be able to travel, work independently under minimal supervision, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and customer engagement through market outreach strategy, proposal development, and client demos.
  • Internal education: prepare and circulate market insights, assist sales teams on learning opportunities, and conduct training sessions.
  • Industry engagement & thought leadership: develop stakeholder relationships, speak at industry events, and write white papers.
  • Market feedback for product development: translate emerging market themes and regulatory requirements into product requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field.
  • PhD or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working within corporates, consulting, or advisory connected to Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Industry affiliation and leadership roles is a plus.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles and relationship management are a plus.
  • Public speaking experience, publications and/or internal lead on training within an organization are a plus.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to listen to requirements and business problems in order to respond with the appropriate business answer.
  • Strategic, analytical, operations-focused, able to recognize market opportunities.
  • Patient and persistent with an ability to maintain a professional demeanor while working under time and customer pressures.
  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in from skeptics.
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a structured and rigorous team environment.
