Job Details

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering learning activities tailored to the individual needs of the pupil.
  • Assist the pupil with their social, emotional, and mental health needs, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of individual education, support, and care plans.
  • Provide regular feedback to teachers on the pupil's progress, attainment, and barriers to learning.
  • Monitor, record, and report on progress and attainment.
Requirements
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths.
  • First-aid training, or willingness to complete it.
  • Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting.
  • Experience working with children/young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
