Emergency Nurse Practitioner/emergency Care Specialist

As a leading healthcare provider, East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse Lead. This challenging position offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage the SDEC service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in maternity services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be accountable for the management, leadership, and development of the service, fostering effective collaboration and partnership working with various stakeholders. They will provide a visible and accessible presence to support staff, patients, and their families, ensuring that care delivery is evidence-based and person-centred.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the allocated financial budget efficiently, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Contribute to business and service development planning annually, aligning with the trust's strategic objectives.
- Maintain a broad understanding of the Urgent Care service Line and the Trust as a whole, actively contributing ideas for service improvement.
- Ensure own actions contribute to maintaining a quality service provision, adhering to professional standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation, promoting high standards of clinical service delivery.
- Support a culture where individuals feel able to report incidents, and learning takes place from all incidents and complaints.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- RGN (Registered General Nurse) qualification.
- Evidence of post-basic training/qualifications.
- Emergency Care skills course certification (e.g., ALS, APLS, TNCC).
- Nursing Degree/Diploma.
- Clinical supervision level 6 module completion or working towards.
- Leadership level 6 module completion or working towards.
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
