Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the manager in the day-to-day running of the service, which provides care and support to young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.


The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience of working in a residential children's home environment. They will be able to provide a holistic and integrated approach to care, and make a positive difference to the lives of the young people in our care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members
  • Encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment
  • Deal with challenging behaviours
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare


Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People
  • 2 years experience in a residential children's home environment
  • Full Driving Licence
