Deputy Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Outram Fields in Bradway, Sheffield. As a Deputy Manager, you will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and service are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in the management of the home, including overseeing the care of residents, managing staff, and maintaining the home's facilities.
  • Deputise for the General Manager in their absence, taking on full responsibility for the running of the home.
  • Ensure all aspects of the home's management meet the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
  • Mentor and support team members, ensuring appraisals, training, and supervisions are up to date.

Requirements:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a care home setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including IT skills.
  • Evidence of recent clinical practice.
  • Evidence of management and administration of medication competency.
  • Knowledge of the NMC code of Conduct and standards.
