Chief Historian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced History teacher to join our dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Romford. As Head of History, you will be responsible for leading our History department and ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in this subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the History department, including staff development and performance management
• Develop and implement the History curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and challenging for students
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive education for our students

Requirements:

• Proven track record of success in teaching History, with a deep understanding of the curriculum
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve student outcomes
