Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team at Rowden. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse user, system, and software requirements to develop effective verification and validation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain verification and validation plans, procedures, and cross-reference matrices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to agree on approaches, provide status updates, and present evidence and satisfaction arguments.
  • Plan and execute system, sub-system, and component-level verification and validation tests.
  • Conduct analysis to demonstrate the coverage and traceability of requirements to tests and architectural system elements.
  • Generate and collate test evidence and present claims for satisfaction against traced requirements.
  • Ensure system assurance focused on fitness for purpose in the definition and execution of V&V activities.
  • Identify specialist skills, tools, and facilities required to execute system verification and validation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute the verification and validation campaign to time, cost, and quality while maintaining detailed records and reporting dashboards.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of verification and validation processes.
  • Experience in requirements analysis and verification test design.
  • Experience using claims, arguments, and evidence to show requirement satisfaction and compliance.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., generation of verification matrices).
  • Proficiency in developing and executing V&V plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Competence in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and HMI-driven tests.
  • Experience testing safety and security-related systems.
  • Experience with defect raising and tracking.
  • Experience with production-standard software-centric systems.
  • Knowledge of model-based design and testing methodologies.
