Job Description

Bristol City Council is looking for a skilled Deputy School Admissions Lead to join their team. As a key member of the School Admissions Service, you will be responsible for mentoring and supervising colleagues, providing expertise on projects, and developing service provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and supervise colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Provide expertise on projects, using analytical and research skills to produce statistics, information, and reports.
  • Develop service provision, working closely with the Service Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the School Admissions Service to allocate school places, working closely with schools, local authorities, and other partners.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and statistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a dynamic and resilient approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge of school admissions policy and legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
