The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Fleet and Equipment Department as a Fleet Support Technician.

About the Job

This full-time post involves working 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a mandatory 24/7 out-of-hours on-call system on a one-in-eight rota basis. As a Fleet Support Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fire service vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are roadworthy and operational.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
  • Experience working with Fleet Management systems and IT packages
  • Current driving license and ability to drive fire service vehicles
About the Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £32,041 - £34,472 per annum (SFRS Grade 4), plus a market allowance of up to £3,447 per annum for suitably experienced candidates. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is £35,488 - £37,919 per annum, depending on experience.
