Job Summary:

We are seeking a Curriculum Enhancement Coach to support and sustain equity-focused instruction for all learners in the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. This role involves creating high-achieving learning environments that promote student growth, understanding the importance of identifying and systematically applying differentiated instruction and assessment to improve achievement levels of our culturally and linguistically diverse student population.

The Curriculum Enhancement Coach will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to support student learning, focusing on individual and group professional development that expands and refines evidence-based instructional practices positively impacting effective instruction.

Key Duties:

  • Support staff in improving knowledge, skills, and effectiveness in meeting educational needs of students in all academic areas.
  • Coach individual teachers and groups of teachers on curriculum, pedagogy, assessments, Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), instructional differentiation, and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with district and school teams to develop and implement high-quality curriculum and instruction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly qualified teacher with valid secondary Michigan teaching certification.
  • Five years teaching experience.
  • Experience with instructional coaching preferred.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Desire to continue learning.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Academic Standards.
  • Knowledge of interventions supporting student learning.
  • Exceptional knowledge of assessment data informing instruction.
  • Expert knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and ability to implement effectively.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
