Job Overview

Gomasa is seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Specialist to join our team. As an Instructional Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the instructional practices of our teachers and the growth and development of our students.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a highly qualified teacher with valid secondary Michigan teaching certification and at least five years of teaching experience. If you have experience with instructional coaching and high school teaching, we would love to hear from you

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized support to individual teachers and groups of teachers, helping them to expand their knowledge and skills in evidence-based instructional practices. You will also work closely with district and school teams to develop and implement high-quality curriculum and instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in applying evidence-based reading and writing strategies in all content areas
  • Design and model instructional interventions that address specific student learning needs
  • Work with administrators and other teacher leaders to develop curriculum and identify high-quality instructional practices
  • Provide supportive feedback to teachers and administrators regarding instructional practices

In addition to your instructional responsibilities, you will also be required to train teachers in data analysis and using data to inform instruction, use data to make targeted decisions regarding best practices, and communicate clearly and concisely using both written and oral methods.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Highly qualified teacher with valid secondary Michigan teaching certification
  • At least five years of teaching experience
  • Experience with instructional coaching preferred
  • High school teaching experience preferred

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
