About the Role

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the SET CAMHS Essex Eating Disorder Service.

This role will involve providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with young people and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs, particularly eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families
  • Liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota

Requirements

  • Fully registered GMC with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
