\Job Summary

As a Health Information Management Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's commitment to quality patient care. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Health Information Management Department, including data entry, retrieval, and scanning of health information into electronic health records. Your expertise in electronic health records and proficiency in computer software will enable you to accurately and efficiently manage patient health information.

\Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and processing incoming documents, including mail and fax server communications.
  • Handling telephone calls and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Processing release of information pursuant to signed record releases.
  • Scanning or attaching documents to patient clinical records.
  • Setting up alerts for legal documents and monitoring outstanding labs.
  • FOLLOWING state and federal laws regarding confidentiality issues in the release of health information.
\Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as prior experience working with electronic health records. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a competitive salary and benefits package are offered to the right candidate.
