Proactive Global is seeking a highly skilled Aesthetic Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our clients across the UK.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering to join our team as a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to various customer sites across the UK, providing call-out support for emergency breakdowns, and performing scheduled service work on automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fix, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems incorporating relay PLC logic controlled components.
  • Undertake occasional scheduled service work in accordance with the standards set out in the relevant manufacturer's equipment manual.
  • Provide a 24hr x 7day emergency on-call service as required.
  • Coordinate and execute the service jobs according to our SLA.
  • Facilitate coordination of the customer service team in the UK and liaise with the team at HQ.
  • Ensure the quality of output and comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies and other relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of field service experience and a strong track record in a similar role.
  • Working experience on automated equipment such as cranes, lifts, and conveyors.
  • Experience with PLC and controls is advantageous.
  • Electrical and electronic principles.
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • Knowledge of MMS (maintenance management system) programs and implementation.
  • Preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Industrial electrical, controls, electronics.
  • PLCs - knowledge of Siemens S7 and/or Allen Bradley.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering (electrical or mechanical).
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Experience of working within a similar role (FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Waste to recycling, Baggage Handling, Automated warehousing).
