Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join our team at Triumph Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will play a critical role in managing development proposals through the Building Control process.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for leading on building control matters, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and associated legislation.
  • As a technical adviser, you will interpret Central Government guidance and Building Control policy, preparing and organizing cases to justify decisions.
  • You will work closely with management to explore and present technical justification for project proposals, ensuring efficient invoicing and application determination within prescribed time periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge of building regulations, structural engineering, fire engineering, or other specialisms relevant to the team.
  • Acting as a professional expert, providing technical advice and decision-making on Building Control and related issues.
  • Leading professional staff in delivering Building Control and public protection functions, as well as managing cross-discipline projects.

Requirements:

  • Significant relevant experience working for a Building Control Body, dealing with diverse issues and challenges in a major city/urban environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead professional staff and manage projects.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
