Job Title: Logistics Specialist

At CV-Library, we are seeking a reliable and dedicated self-employed Logistics Specialist to work on an ongoing basis. This role offers flexible working hours from Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime available.

The ideal candidate will have a hard-working attitude, with experience preferred but not essential. In this position, you will be responsible for operating delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, loading and unloading goods, and navigating routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
  • Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.

Key Benefits:

  • No van required.
  • Ongoing work (not just peak periods).
  • Monday to Friday working hours (weekend overtime available).
  • 7.30am start.
  • 7-day payment terms (£200+ day rate in own van - MWB minimum LWB preferred).
  • Training provided.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) as required during deliveries.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks efficiently.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum.
