About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Finance Specialist to join our team at NewDay Ltd. As a key member of our Operational Finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of Financial Data
    • Reconcile key high-volume bank and internal control accounts daily, processing over 1 million transactions per day via an automated reconciliation tool.
    • Process financial data and maintain documentation to a high standard of accuracy on a timely basis.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Perform daily reconciliation activities, including the running of daily filters, interactive matching, and the escalation of aged items.
    • Monthly ledger reconciliations, adjustments and transfers that are completed on time and accurately to minimize potential write-offs.
    • Analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify discrepancies and highlight to key stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation
    • Document processes and procedures that ensure reconciliations are completed according to our policies.
    • Relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide group in the business, building a level of mutual trust and respect.
    • Take accountability for actions and remain responsible for assigned GL reconciliations.
