Job Title: Challenging Behaviour Graduate Support Mentor

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Behaviour Support Mentor. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will work with vulnerable children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and Complex Needs in our local SEND Schools in Portsmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want to pursue a career in teaching or SEND Education. If you have a background in Psychology, you will find this role particularly suited to your skills and experience.

Your Role
  • Supporting children with SEMH and Complex Needs in a SEND School setting
  • Providing behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Working collaboratively with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimize disruption
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Being available to work full-time, 8.30am-4.00pm
