Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join a specialist MedTech software company who provide a cloud-based solution that automates the information flow between medical testing, results, and patient records.

The company is experiencing considerable growth and requires a skilled Cloud Engineer to oversee the entire infrastructure and transform it to take full advantage of modern cloud technologies, creating solutions and using problem-solving skills to overcome engineering challenges.

This role will span the entire software delivery pipeline and will work closely with the software engineering team. The position would suit someone who has the interest and desire to "cross the border" and also get hands-on experience in coding and development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain a highly scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure
  • Work with security and engineering teams to define and prioritize the infrastructure roadmap
  • Transform business requirements into scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with the software engineering team
  • Drive continuous improvement in all infrastructure technology and processes
  • Review, recommend, and plan for the implementation of new infrastructure technologies
  • Identify issues proactively and take any corrective actions necessary
  • Liaise and collaborate with infrastructure partners
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Manage the infrastructure budget
  • Maintain the documentation of all layers of the infrastructure
  • Assist in the analysis of outages and work on preventative plans
  • Planning, implementing, and maintaining environments for different stages of the delivery lifecycle
  • Monitoring and managing appropriate access levels for employees and contractors
  • Infrastructure as code - providing scriptable means to create, tear down, and recreate environments
  • Keeping up to date with technical advances to drive innovation
Requirements:
