Job Title: Social Worker - Young People with Disabilities Team

Essex County Council is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Young People with Disabilities Team. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with disabilities, their families, and carers.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team that focuses on providing high-quality support to young people with disabilities. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of young people, developing and implementing care plans, and providing ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of young people with disabilities and their families
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of young people
  • Provide ongoing support to young people and their families
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people
  • Manage a caseload of young people with disabilities and their families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent
  • Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker
  • Demonstrable capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards
  • A good working knowledge and ability to use information technology and related systems
