Job Title: Social Worker - Family Support and Protection

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Family Support and Protection team in South Essex. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families, promoting sustainable change, and ensuring the well-being of our community.

About the Role:
  • Work with families on Child in Need and Child Protection plans to promote sustainable change.
  • Develop strong relationships with families using systemic and strengths-based social work approaches.
  • Engage with diverse groups of individuals, including children, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners, other agencies, and the local community to achieve joint objectives.
  • Deliver value for money interventions balanced against need.
Requirements:
  • A recognised social work qualification, such as a Diploma, degree, or Masters in social work, with current registration with Social Work England as a registered social worker.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, aligned to any relevant Professional Competency/Capability frameworks or Knowledge and Skills Statements.
  • Experience within a social work setting, with evidence of challenging social and family situations.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to develop a rapport and engage with diverse groups of individuals.
