About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people in education settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consolidated and enhanced clinical skills in the role of an EMHP, leading the coordination and delivery of evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education with mild to moderate mental health problems.
  • Support and facilitate staff in education settings and those EMHPs that are supervised to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work with and within education environments to provide better access to specialist mental health services.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications.
  • Relevant knowledge acquired through successful completion of postgraduate diploma in Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing in education environment.
  • Qualification in delivering CYP IAPT low intensity supervision training with EMHPS/CWPS or willingness to work towards it.
