Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and ambitious town planner to join our Central Development Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Manchester, working on high-profile projects that drive growth and regeneration in the city.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the Council's planning policies for the ongoing physical regeneration of the City Centre.
  • Work on nationally significant development areas, including Corridor Manchester, First Street, and Piccadilly East.
  • Manage the growth of the City Centre into strategically important regeneration areas, such as Victoria North, Strangeways, and Ancoats.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create great places that bring people and communities together, attract investment, and ensure Manchester continues to thrive.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Planning Qualification and/or significant knowledge and experience of working in Development Management.
  • Ability to demonstrate competency at each grade as set out in the attached Role profile.
