Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, you will be responsible for planning and managing projects from initiation to closure.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience in project planning and control principles, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with our Project Controls Manager and IPT Work Package Managers to produce and maintain fully resourced multi-level project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate project activities, including resource allocation and scheduling
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, using techniques such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide project status updates and reports to senior management

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration
  • Proven experience in project planning and control, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software, such as Primavera P6
  • AAPMG Project Controls Foundation and Practitioner Level Certification, or willingness to obtain
