Support Worker for Young People with Learning Difficulties

At Academics Ltd, we are seeking an outstanding Graduate or Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
About the JobWe provide support to young people with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in our school. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in partnership with our teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development, and language acquisition.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
- Provide behaviour and pastoral support
- Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
- Build robust and effective relationships with students
- Meet the individual needs of students using a practical approach
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Show a caring, compassionate, and listening attitude
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students, following procedures
- Support personal care and attend staff meetings
£9,000 - £11,000 per year, Monday to Friday, term time only. We provide on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students.
