Group Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team at SRM RECRUITMENT LIMITED. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for all aspects of group reporting, including playing a lead role in the annual audit process and managing the small treasury function.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the monthly consolidation pack and ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders
  • Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the group and providing expert analysis and support
  • Responsible for the group accounting of lease liabilities and all interest costs, as well as the group's consolidation journals
  • Managing the treasury clerk and ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions
  • Preparing weekly group cash flow forecasts and providing insights to senior management
  • Accounting for/processing of transactions in the group's 5 main holding companies
  • Producing the statutory accounts for 45 entities across the UK
  • Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure monthly, quarterly and yearly deadlines are achieved
  • Ensuring delivery of high quality and accurate monthly financial information for the Senior Management Team
  • Identifying new accounting standards and working with the business to ensure continued compliance
  • Preparing well-written accounting technical papers and supporting subjective accounting judgements
  • Assisting the group finance team with the development and evolution of group wide controls, systems and processes
  • Supporting the Group Financial Controller with the external audit process and liaising with auditors
Requirements:
  • Qualified ACA with strong technical knowledge and experience working with complex consolidations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external auditors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
