Job Summary

Fortec Distribution Network is a leading logistics company seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our hub in Watford Gap. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift truck to load and unload pallets, as well as performing manual handling tasks to ensure efficient and accurate transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift truck to load and unload pallets in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform manual handling tasks to secure and stabilize loads
  • Use scanning equipment to track and manage inventory
  • Ensure quality of load and transhipment of freight through the hub
  • Report any non-compliance, accidents, or near misses
  • Communicate with customer vehicle drivers as needed
  • Compile reports for damaged product, poorly presented vehicles, and equipment damage

Requirements

  • Valid FLT Licence
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Experience with scanning equipment or working in a pallet hub (desirable)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 20:00-06:00
