About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Research Professional to join our team at the University of Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher to make a leading contribution in the field of haematology and leukaemia research.

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, conducting cutting-edge research projects that aim to engineer an in vitro bone marrow niche to control stem cell regulation, metastatic evolution, and cancer dormancy.

This project focuses on understanding the steps involved in leukaemia transformation using advanced hydrogel systems to study normal haemopoietic stem cells (HSCs), pre-leukaemic HSCs harbouring clonal haematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) mutations, and leukaemic stem cells (LSCs).
