Job Title: Strategic Fundraising Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Fundraising Leader to join our team at New Wine Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching potential opportunities, writing proposals, building relationships, and managing and tracking applications to trusts and foundations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations, and will be able to create and articulate a compelling fundraising case in writing and in person. They will also be an outstanding communicator and networker, adept at liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The Strategic Fundraising Leader will be highly organized and a resourceful, lateral thinker with initiative and flexibility. They will be discreet and trusted with confidential and sensitive information, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a deep understanding of the charitable sector and a proven ability to secure funding from trusts and foundations. They will also need to be highly motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges.

The Strategic Fundraising Leader will report to the Operations Director and will work closely with the rest of the team to achieve our fundraising goals. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, and will work closely with the rest of the team to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations, and will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the charitable sector. They will also need to be highly organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities of the Strategic Fundraising Leader will include:

  • Researching potential funding opportunities and writing proposals
  • Building relationships with trusts and foundations and managing and tracking applications
  • Creating and articulating a compelling fundraising case in writing and in person
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve fundraising goals
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy
