Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at AWD online. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the day-to-day process for accounts receivable, ensuring the smooth operation of the sales ledger while supporting the junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage two Finance Assistants
- Implement effective credit control strategies to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow
- Monitor and analyze sales ledger processes, including bank uploads and reconciliations, sales invoices, credit notes, and customer statement reconciliations
- Communicate with the sales team and accounts receivable to ensure seamless customer service
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in the sales ledger
- Support the Head of Finance in developing and maintaining financial processes
- Assist with preparation of quarterly VAT returns, monthly and yearly accounts as required
- Previous credit control experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets and financial data analysis
- Accounting qualification (e.g., Accounting degree, AAT L3 and beyond) desirable
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment
