Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership for the delivery of specialist assessment, therapy, risk assessment, and risk management plans for individuals with learning disabilities and complex presentations.

The ideal candidate will have post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council as a Practising Psychologist. Experience in delivering teaching, training, and supervision is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the delivery of the ISF function across the Halton & Warrington CLDT.
  • Contribute specialist psychological knowledge to support the provision of specialist assessment, therapy, risk assessment, and risk management plans.
  • Develop highly specialized clinical psychology interventions and management plans.
  • Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individuals presenting with self-harm or harm to others.

Our core operational hours are between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, although flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service. The ability and willingness to travel between multiple sites is essential.

The salary for this role is approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
