Job Title: Evening Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking a highly organized and autonomous Evening Assistant Psychologist to join our team at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct telephone conversations with new enquiries to assess suitability for our services and decide on the most appropriate treatment option.
  • Assist in matching new clients to the most suitable psychologist for ongoing sessions.
  • Cofacilitate assessments and sessions alongside clinicians where necessary.
  • Facilitate individual skill sessions and rotating group therapy modules.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Deal professionally with telephone enquiries, taking messages and using initiative to take follow-up actions when appropriate.
  • Liaise with clients post-assessment in collaboration with the clinic's referrals coordinator.
  • Assist in the design and management of electronic spreadsheets/databases as required.
Teaching, Training, and Supervision:
  • Receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with professional practice guidelines.
  • Participate in a fortnightly AP reflective practice led by the Clinical Lead.
  • Take part in a weekly meeting led by the Senior AP to discuss clinic needs and address any difficulties that arise.
Management, Recruitment, Policy, and Service Development:
  • Attend meetings to discuss service developments and contribute to clinical governance initiatives.
Service Evaluation:
  • Assist in the design and implementation of audit projects.
  • Undertake data collection, analysis, and reporting using IT and statistical programs.

  • Competent interpersonal skills to work with the team and liaise with clients in a calm and compassionate manner.
  • Ability to use a computer and spreadsheets to a high level.
