FPGA Engineer Job Description

Ultra Maritime is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire. As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing FPGA-based solutions for power converters and motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement FPGA-based solutions for power converters and motors
  • Develop and maintain FPGA designs using VHDL and other relevant tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety-related standards and processes
  • Participate in model-based design using Matlab/Simulink and other relevant tools
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Proven track record of FPGA/ASIC design experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VHDL and other relevant tools
  • Experience with model-based design using Matlab/Simulink is desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
