Job Overview
Parkside Recruitment is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager - Export to join our client's team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the export of airfreight shipments and ensuring that they are delivered to their destinations on time and in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships to ensure their business is retained and opportunities for growth are leveraged.
- Identify key areas of added value to customers and implement strategies to maximize gross profit.
- Manage customs compliance procedures and documentation to ensure seamless import and export processes.
- Maximize gross profit through service selection and optimize carrier and handling agent relationships.
- Manage key performance indicators (milestones, station metrics, and GCCS) to drive business growth and improvement.
- Contribute to the company's continuous improvement program and implement process management best practices.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Five or more years of leadership experience within the freight forwarding industry.
- Experience of aviation security and HMRC procedures.
- Commercial awareness and clear, concise communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to lead a culture of continuous improvement and inter-personal skills (influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness, and ability to work across teams).
Working Hours
37 hours per week.
