Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

Salary: £29,580

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support with month-end activities and production of reporting packs, including preparing month-end journals, identifying key variances to budget, and inputting base data into monthly reporting packs.
  2. Invoicing of costs to other BAE entities, including compiling relevant costs, reconciling costs to accrued income, PO management, and liaising with business units to agree costs.
  3. Ensuring passthrough costs are recovered on a timely basis, including advising and supporting other BAE business unit contacts and the debtors team.
  4. Liaising with business unit operational staff to ensure efficient financial processes and controls are in place.
  5. Reporting to business unit Senior Management on a monthly basis to provide updates and explanations of current intercompany debt owed.
  6. Supporting the production of key financial data and analysis.
  7. Undertaking governance requirements both individually and on behalf of the team.

Requirements:

  1. Good technical accounting knowledge, with a focus on finance accreditation.
  2. Experience in providing financial support to an operational environment.
  3. Strong IT and analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
  4. Experience of Financial Systems, with SAP being a desirable skill.

About the Recharges Team:

As an Assistant Management Accountant within the Recharges team, you will support the passthrough and intercompany recharge process for a number of business units. You will be responsible for ensuring that this process is completed within specific timeframes, ensuring that passthroughs and recoveries are executed as efficiently as possible.
