General Adult Psychiatrist Lead

We are recruiting for an experienced General Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. As a consultant psychiatrist, you will play a key role in developing our services and driving positive change.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive annual salary, with benefits including up to £10,000 in relocation costs, 33 days annual leave (pro-rata), career development and training opportunities, and a comprehensive relocation package.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health, with substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary issues in mental health. They should also be able to demonstrate teaching and training experience, as well as evidence of working with management and clinical colleagues to improve a service.

Requirements
  • Specialist registration on the GMC Specialist Register as a General Adult Psychiatrist or eligibility for CCT within 6 months of the date of interview
  • Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education
  • Evidence of working with management and clinical colleagues to improve a service
