Leonardo is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Systems Engineering Industrial Placement Specialist. This exciting opportunity is part of our Industrial Placement Programme, designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills to become an engineering or business professional of the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of innovative support solutions and services, including those for transformational programmes and projects.
- Work closely with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver complex solutions, understanding key processes and technologies.
- Develop and apply your academic knowledge to undertake various activities across the engineering lifecycle, delivering to agreed performance targets, including cost and schedule.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and capture and manage customer requirements.
- Apply data analysis, modelling, visualisation, and dashboard development skills to drive business decisions.
- Take an active role in engineering process improvement and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ongoing undergraduate or postgraduate course in a relevant discipline, including Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM subject.
- Passion for engineering and problem-solving.
- Self-motivation with an aptitude for driving difficult issues to conclusion.
- Ability to work with minimum direction or supervision on complex tasks.
- Strong collaboration and inter-personal skills, and the ability to interact with subject matter experts regarding a range of technical and operational topics.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver high-quality work.
- Confidence and ability to challenge and respond to technical or process issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience of creating documentation and presentations.
