Job Title: Head of Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Director to lead our operations team and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities, including controlling gross profit, implementing processes, increasing productivity, and improving the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the credit control, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Take overall responsibility for stock, purchasing, and supply chain management
  • Meet annual gross profit budget and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with competitor movements and industry standards
  • Oversee quality sign-off and returns process, and ensure compliance with H&S standards and regulations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and culture
  • Recruit, induct, and onboard new starters
  • Manage the ERP system and identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficient in Lean principles and experienced in implementing and managing 3PL locations
  • Strong commercial skills, data analysis, and time-motion studies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel abroad
