Job Title: Games Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Games Coach to join our team at Hilden Grange School. As a Games Coach, you will be responsible for teaching Girls' games throughout the year groups, promoting fair play and sporting conduct, and encouraging the girls' interest in and enjoyment of games at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Girls' games throughout the year groups in accordance with the department's schemes of work, programmes of study, and policies of best practice.
  • Be involved in school fixtures as a coach and/or referee at home and away venues.
  • Drive the school minibuses, as and when required.
  • Encourage and promote fair play and sporting conduct at all times.
  • Encourage and promote the girls' interest in and enjoyment of games at all levels.
  • Attend regular departmental meetings, full staff meetings, and staff training sessions, when required.
  • Attend INSET courses as appropriate and necessary.
  • Carry out regular staff duties on a rota basis.
  • Play a full and active role in the pastoral, extra-curricular, and social activities of the school.
  • Assist Games staff to deliver the Games curriculum to Years N – 8.
  • Assist the Head of Girls' Games in the organisation of fixtures and managing teams.
  • Help co-ordinate match days in terms of ensuring players are where they should be and with the correct kit.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a similar role.
  • Experience of working in a school environment would be desirable.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A clean driving license, preferably D1 or above.
  • Evidence of being a strong team member.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team when required.
