We are seeking to appoint a senior research associate to work on a study, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, on family change, well-being and social policy. Our team is led by Professor Susan Harkness alongside Dr Samuel Mohun Himmelweit (University of Bristol), Dr Silvia Avram (University of Essex) and a postdoctoral research fellow.
Job Description
The project aims to understand the complexity of children's family lives. As a senior research associate, you will be responsible for analysing secondary data sources to assess how family structure influences adult and child wellbeing. The focus of the study is to understand how changing family structure interacts with the social welfare and child maintenance systems to affect access to resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You will have a strong academic background in a relevant field, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in data analysis and proficiency in statistical software packages are also essential.
Benefits
This fixed-term position offers an annual salary of £38,337 - £50,753, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities and a generous pension scheme.
