Job Summary

As a Senior Logistics Optimization Specialist at ENGINEERINGUK, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Amazon's last-mile operation. This is an opportunity to analyze data, gather feedback, and identify inefficiencies in current operations. You will establish frameworks to optimize the balance between quality, speed, cost, and other factors, and influence colleagues and leadership to improve processes. Regular reviews of process efficiencies will be conducted, offering data-led solutions for long-term improvements.

About the Role
As a Senior Logistics Optimization Specialist, you will be at the forefront of making Amazon's logistics better, improving safety, productivity, and quality. You will recommend changes and use your project management and stakeholder management skills to put new processes in place. You will work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to address them.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze data and gather feedback from stakeholders to identify inefficiencies in current operations
  2. Establish frameworks to optimize the balance between quality, speed, cost, and other factors
  3. Influence colleagues and leadership to improve processes
  4. Regular reviews of process efficiencies, offering data-led solutions for long-term improvements

About the Team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. The team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

Requirements
  1. A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field
  2. Lean manufacturing knowledge (Green / Black belt)
  3. Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role
  4. Prior experience in project management or management consulting, including handling multiple ongoing projects
  5. Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  6. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in analytical tool building
  2. Understanding of SQL
  3. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
