Our Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our talented Plymouth business advisory team as a Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to understand their business needs and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Lead key relationships with clients and act as their trusted advisor, providing expert advice on financial and business matters.
  • Monitor performance and review working papers for accuracy and completeness, delivering high-quality accounts and tax compliance services with minimal Partner input.
  • Provide tax, accounting, and commercial advice to clients, resolving accounting and tax problems as they arise.
  • Ensure that working papers, financial statements, tax returns, and client files are prepared in accordance with the firm's accepted standards.
  • Develop long-term professional relationships with clients by communicating progress, problems, resolutions, financial information, tax activity, and other business concerns.
  • Review significant findings with the engagement Partner that raise questions involving tax implications and possible tax planning opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional services to existing clients.

About You

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with significant relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of clients and assisting partners in maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
  • Proven background supervising a team of accounts staff.
  • Organized, accurate, flexible, and able to plan use of time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, team members, and colleagues, with the ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
