We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Hogarths Hotel Solihull. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will work closely with our Executive Head Chef, who brings a fine dining/Michelin background to our Brasserie-style restaurant.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for British cuisine, menu development, food costing, and rota management. Experience with Rosette standards is beneficial, as we strive for culinary excellence. You will be responsible for leading a team of junior chefs, collaborating with our Executive Head Chef, and contributing to the development of our menu.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000, plus tips and other staff benefits. Our 5-day week schedule provides a great work-life balance, and you will have the opportunity to work with Michelin-starred Chef Rob Palmer. Additionally, our hotel offers good career progression within the group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of junior chefs to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
  • Collaborating with the Executive Head Chef to develop menus and improve culinary standards
  • Managing food costs, rota, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Contributing to the development of our Brasserie-style restaurant's culinary identity
