About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team in Stevenage. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is passionate about maintaining high standards in engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and safety in all mechanical systems, conducting routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems
  • Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime
  • Assisting with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical systems
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining documentation
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance projects
  • Collaborating with engineers and other team members to achieve operational goals

Requirements:

  • Qualified to HNC or appropriate apprenticeship level in mechanical engineering
  • Hold or be prepared to work towards achieving Pressure and Confined space AP Status and other Appointments as deemed appropriate
  • Experience of installation, testing, maintenance, and operation of mechanical systems
  • Experience of standby power systems
  • Experience of safe working practices, permit to work procedures, and risk assessments

Salary: £43,000 per annum
