About the Job

We are looking for a skilled and caring Nursery Practitioner / Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People in Walsall. In this role, you will be responsible for providing individualized support and assistance to students in a pre-school setting.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. You will collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities that meet the unique needs of each student.
  2. You will support the student's academic, social, and emotional development, promoting their self-confidence and independence.
  3. You will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
  4. You will adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate the student's learning style and abilities.
  5. You will assist with the assessment of the student's progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher and parents.
  6. You will foster positive relationships with students and establish clear communication channels with the school and parents.
  7. You will uphold the school's values, policies, and procedures.

Your Requirements

  • You must have a Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning qualification or equivalent.
  • You must have previous experience working with children in a nursery environment.
  • You must have strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
  • You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • You must have patience, resilience, and the ability to provide emotional support when needed.
  • You must have flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • You must have knowledge of relevant teaching methodologies and resources for supporting individual students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or teaching assistant roles are desirable but not essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £19,200-£24,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
