Key Responsibilities:- Assess and provide care to patients with various health conditions, including medical and surgical needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health and wellness topics.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility.
- Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias and work on a medical/surgical unit as required.
- Current certification in ACLS, PALS, BCLS, CTAS, and delegated medical acts.
- Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Assessment and interviewing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to work all shifts and flex time to meet unit, staff, and patient needs.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Participation in staff meetings and unit-specific projects.
- Communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Recent satisfactory attendance and performance records.
- Adherence to Spa 23 Fitness and Lifestyle's 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies.
- Emergency Nursing Certificate.
- Physical Assessment Course.
- TNCC or equivalent.
- Recent Medical/Surgical/PACU/Day Surgery/Critical Care experience.
- Two years recent Emergency experience.
- NRP.
