About the Role

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Steam Generation Specialist to join our team at the Linford Block Plant in Essex. As a key member of our production and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of pressure systems equipment.

In this role, you will work closely with the production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure seamless operation of systems and project engineering work. Your responsibilities will include implementing written schemes of examination, assessing equipment condition, and recommending repairs. You will also provide guidance on the practical application of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000 and own the implementation of a risk-based assessment program for pressure systems equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement Written Schemes of Examination: Develop and maintain written schemes of examination for pressure systems equipment to ensure compliance with legal requirements and business goals.
  • Assess Equipment Condition: Conduct regular assessments of equipment condition to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or replacement.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance to inspection engineers, plant managers, and asset engineers on the practical application of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000.
  • Lead Risk-Based Assessment: Own and lead the implementation of a risk-based assessment program for pressure systems equipment to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: BEng or MEng in a relevant discipline, or QBE (Qualified by Experience). BOAS Accreditation is preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment combined with heavy industrial plant experience. Technical experience of preventive, predictive, and systematic maintenance is also required.
